is engaging workshop will empower professionals to provide adoptive\, fost
er and kinship parents with tools to understand the additional development
al tasks of the children they are parenting while acknowledging their stru
ggles related to parenting a child they did not birth. \n\nAllison Davi
s Maxon\, M.S.\, LMFT is a nationally recognized expert in the fields
of child welfare and children’s mental health. Allison was the foster care
consultant for the Paramount Pictures movie\, Instant Family and is the c
o-author of Seven Core Issues in Adoption and Permanency: A Guide to Promo
ting Understanding and Healing in Adoption\, Foster Care\, Kinship Familie
s and Third Party Reproduction\, Jessica Kingsley Publishers 2019. \n\n
Schedule\n8:00-9am: Check-In\n9am-4:30pm: Training\nLunch on your own
\n\n5.5 NBCC & Social Work CEs are available for only $55 for pre-register
ed participants! \n*Payment due prior to training date or cost is $75 for
