Thank you for your interest in our Children's Aid Society of Alabama summer camping programs! This is a combined application for Camp APAC (a camp for adopted children and their siblings ages 12-18), as well as Camp Life (two separate camps for foster youth participating in the Independent Living Program). Please complete each section of this application carefully. A valid email address is required, as much of the communication that takes place prior to camp will be done electronically. 

Note: With safety a top priority, we are requiring that all staff be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus or have a validated medical or religious exemption. Fully vaccinated includes having a booster shot.

Our independent contractor rate for Camp Counselor is $450. We utilize both independent contractors and volunteers for our summer staff.
It is our policy that once you arrive to camp you do not leave until the last day of camp, when camp is over. Please be aware of this policy when applying, especially if you are taking summer classes and think you may have a conflict. If chosen to part of Camp APAC/Camp Life 2023, are you willing to abide by this policy?

CAS does not receive your payment information directly. We are cautious in the selection of these payment providers and designate providers that have demonstrated or attested to their PCI-DSS compliance. We are not involved in the security programs of these providers and have no control over the security or functionality of these linked sites. Our third-party payment provider as of the effective date of this notice is DonorPerfect. The DonorPerfect information regarding their PCI compliance is located at https://www.donorperfect.com/fundraising-software/pci-compliance/. We may use other third-party payment providers from time to time without updating this notice and recommend that you review the provider’s security and privacy policies regarding your payments.

Website Use Information Similar to other websites, our site may utilize a standard technology called "cookies" (see explanation below, "What Are Cookies?"), web server logs, and similar tools to collect information about how our website is used.   9. No Ad Tracking We do not use any information about you to target advertising to you through this site and no third-party advertising is offered through this site.

Do Not Track Please note that this site does not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and does not currently participate in any “Do Not Track” frameworks that would allow us to respond to any “Do Not Track” elections that you may have made. As stated above, Google and Facebook may have a separate “Do Not Track” policies.

Information Security -- We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction. Evaluation of Information Protection Practices -- Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with organization policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information. Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
  14. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
  15. Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
  16. What About Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information? We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.
