Volunteer

Why do people become volunteers of Children's Aid Society? Many people want to make a difference that will change a child's life forever. But, the truth is, when you invest in children, your efforts echo through entire families and communities. People like you are making a real difference. Your time not only helps a child today, but ensures a stronger future for Alabama.

Your time ensures a remarkable impact.

Volunteer Opportunities

Take action today by clicking any of the below volunteer opportunities to learn more about how you can help children and families in Alabama.

  • CAS is creating an inaugural Junior Board and looking for dynamic individuals 25-35 years old in the Birmingham area to help share our story and create a signature event. Email Julie Luker, jluker@childrensaid.org for more information.

  • Each summer, CAS hosts a 4-day camp for youth who have been adopted from foster care. We are looking for energetic counselors to work directly with the youth at a fun-filled camp experience.

  • The Independent Living program hosts two 3-day camps for youth who are currently in foster care. Join us for the opportunity to build self-confidence and independent living skills among youth.

  • CAS coordinates special activities for adoptive families to connect with and support one another. Volunteers are often needed around the state to assist in trainings and conferences; respite events for adopted youth; family group activities such as picnics, movie nights, holiday festivities; and many more. Contact Brock at bsellers@childrensaid.org to learn more.

  • With offices around the state, office volunteers are needed for processing mailings, assisting with event preparation, and other general office duties. Opportunities are available in Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery and Huntsville. Email Brock at bsellers@childrensaid.org for current opportunities.
