For families looking for a place to let the kids hike, bike, climb, cave, swim, and explore, the Sewanee-Monteagle mountain is a great destination.

The "Res" is only a couple of miles away and is the best swimming lake on the mountain. There are numerous hiking trails and nature walks. The Perimeter Trail is fabulous for longer hikes and mountain biking. The Fowler Center in Sewanee is a great exercise facility and offers day-passes and indoor tennis courts. Sewanee also has a wonderfully unique golf course with great views.
